TRESPASS

Picture
Gretel Taylor and videographer Leonie Van Eyk created video work Trespass over several years' gestation across many unauthorised and unceded sites. It premiered as part of UPWELLING exhibition in March 2020.

UPWELLING Artists: John Wolseley, Cameron Robbins with Masion Lapalus, Zoe Amor, Ilka White, Alvin Briggs, Gretel Taylor and Leonie Van Eyk, Dale Cox.
Curators: Brodie Ellis and Mark Anstey.
This exhibition brings ancient and new knowledge, ideas and actions to the surface of the climate change struggle.
March, 2020, Lot 19 Gallery, Castlemaine

BodyPlaceProject is based on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people in Corhanwarrabul/Dandenong Ranges and Narrm/Melbourne, and undertakes work in many other locations. We pay deep respect to First Nations elders past and present, who have listened to Country and danced, sung and told stories in and about their places for millennia, to share knowledge and to care for Country and people.
They are the first site-specific artists!
