PLATEAU

In a remote location in Iceland, dancer Gretel Taylor grapples with her sense of overwhelm at the unfamiliar landscape: ‘How can I even begin to
 be here?’

Photographer Laki Sideris and Taylor have been evolving a collaborative practice using the camera to bring remote ‘performances’ to audiences. The drone video offers vast context as well as insights at close proximity to the body’s sensory interactions with the environment.
PLATEAU was a featured exhibition at Head On Photo Festival, Sydney in 2019. https://www.headon.com.au/exhibitions/plateau
